Plant Interview (2023)

Plant Interview was a series of interviews conducted in Chicago downtown to understand human perspectives on the plants in their surroundings. The interviews took place on plant beds along Wabash and Michigan avenues. Passersby were approached by the artist and invited to speak on behalf of the plants, responding to plantal(personal) questions about the plants' characteristics, origins, and how they were doing. Human participants received no specific instructions on how to answer these questions, except that they had to speak for the plants.
